STILL SHIELDING? CHOIR NOT BEGINNING YET? WANT A NEW CHALLENGE?
Do you normally sing with a choir: or would you, perhaps, like to join one?
Are you missing theatre and the chance to belt out Oklahoma? Are you King/Queen of the karaoke and miss your inner Diva/Divo? This might be for you. Currently running as online projects, JukeVox is a way to keep singing in these strange times. All materials are provided and weekly online music rehearsals take place via Zoom. At the close of each project we will have learned 3 songs from a variety of styles. Project 1 has included: All of Me (Post Modern Jukebox version of John Legend song), Moon River (Mancini classic) and Stand By Me (60s hit song in a version based on the Kingdom Choir's beautiful rendition at Harry and Meghan's wedding). |

Alex's special arrangements!
I never do the off the shelf arrangements and I always set challenges for the singer.
No one part has the tune, it moves freely between different vocal lines. My arrangements are non-binary inclusive with no mention of gender or voice type. In pop/rock music it is pointless to talk about 'sopranos and altos', it is all about the type and technique of the sound production. Similarly, because we move around in style in our Jukebox of JukeVox (see what I did there?!) you may find you are suited to one voice part for one style and a completely different one for another. See the video for an idea of my type of arranging... |
